Fashion with a purpose: Mesmerize and Jai Vakeel Foundation’s

“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” - Edgar Degas

We believe that a world that includes everyone is stronger for all. If this is to be a reality, encouraging awareness and inclusion requires each of us to raise our hand and participate.

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, fashion label Mesmerize collaborated with Jai Vakeel Foundation to empower the lives of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Fueled by the belief that art serves as an unparalleled medium to tap into the potential of each child, the collaboration was designed to inspire the little ones to turn the world into their canvas. With no boundaries or limits placed on their imagination, the collaboration seeks to draw out the inner artist hidden in each child at the foundation through a range of exquisite accessories crafted from printed fabrics, featuring the digitized art pieces. By focusing on their ability and not their disability we hope to make people see, ‘A person is not a disability. A person is a person.’

To bring this vision to life, a workshop was conducted at Jai Vakeel getting the children to explore different art forms, including alcohol-based painting, tie-dye and galactic art. The beautiful artworks created by the children were then immortalized with an exclusive range of one-of-a-kind accessories produced by Mesmerize. In order to further empower the children, the collection is available for sale on, out of which 10% of the revenue will be directed to Jai Vakeel Foundation.

With this collaboration, we hope to mainstream the conversation around IDD. Use our voices to start a dialogue about inclusion, increase our impact and influence in our spheres leading to real change.

Let us amplify a positive message, inspire others and start a movement. Together we can.

Come join us in making a better world for all of us.
